That’s not a hypothetical—that’s exactly what Dr. Millionaire, one of the most charismatic young rappers in America, did over the last handful of years.

July will see the release of My First Million, Dr. Millionaire’s most high profile project to date. The eight-song EP, pressed on cassette and available digitally through Imaginary Friends, includes the acclaimed “More Songs Than Pac” and the soulful, confessional single “Nigga From Maine.” Clements playfully offers work measured in both Metric and U.S. Standard (“Air Is Nice”); he also dives down rabbit holes chasing loved ones lost (“Old Friend”). Dr. Millionaire stands to become a vicious, quick-witted household name, and My First Million is the blueprint.
